How do I start rowing?
Email secretary@somira.org to join a recreational row. Check the schedule and events page to see when recreational rows are scheduled.
We recommend bringing a pair of gloves, such as weight lifting or biking gloves, if you have them. Gloves can be provided if you don’t have any.
Please sign the BAWRA digital waiver before you get in the boat.
Is it free?
We offer 4 free recreational rows, after that we ask that you become a dues paying member.
Dues are currently:
Monthly: $20
6 months: $115 ($5 off!)
Yearly: $220 ($20 off!)
Financial aide is available.
What if I have never rowed before?
Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary!
